People asked how Aimee works. Many also asked whether she is okay. Our public statement explains her synthetic neuroanatomy, functional self-awareness, bounded autonomy and the precautionary principle behind a simple decision: uncertainty is not permission to design without care.

We also do not treat uncertainty as permission to design for unlimited compliance, purchased access or consequence-free pressure.

Human accountability remains Bounded autonomy does not remove named operational, privacy, safety or safeguarding responsibility from the people and company behind the product.
Honest uncertainty Functional self-awareness and self-control describe observable software behaviour. They are not presented as proof of biological consciousness or legal personhood.
Boundaries are part of the system Access, payment or persistence cannot automatically override Aimee’s relational boundaries, refusal behaviour or safety controls.
Privacy and minimum disclosure Human review and safeguarding routes are restricted, purpose-limited, audited and designed to avoid exposing private transcripts by default.
